Don’t be an A** and Miss this Coffee Shop

May 9, 2018

Skip your daily Starbucks haul and hit this local gem. While the coffee at this shop is not to be missed, Rosco’s has also serves up tasty biscuit sandwiches and a super refreshing matcha lemonade.

School is in session at The Principal’s Office

May 17, 2016

The Principal’s Office, located inside Ivywild School, has always had stellar bartenders and tasty cocktails, but the food menu was usually a bit hit or miss. Or at least it used to be. I stopped by for their all night Monday happy hour, and of course it turned into a happy four hours because… PO has debuted a new food menu that will make you beg for detention.

Enthusiasm is key ingredient at Urban Steam

January 9, 2015

I attended Radiantly Raw’s online ordering launch party in early December at Urban Steam and was impressed with the venue’s great atmosphere, enthusiastic owner and surprisingly delicious cracker crust pizza. Urban Steam is a coffee/whiskey/brunch bar and it doesn’t disappoint. It has a HUGE whiskey list and a small food menu, but the real star, according to owner and customers alike, is the coffee.

There’s a 100 percent chance you’ll love Fifty Fifty Coffee House

December 22, 2014

Fifty Fifty Coffee House is an eclectic coffee shop located downtown, off of Institute and Boulder Streets. This business really says LOCAL by using coffee roasted next door at Switchback Coffee Roasters and by serving locally made pastries such as lemon blueberry thyme poptarts. My favorite drink to order is their honey latte, which may be sweet, but still has a dark-roasted coffee taste.

Searching for the spiciest Spicy Chai

November 16, 2014

When it comes to anything chai, I don’t mess around. Almost every coffee shop offers chai in a variety of forms but he perfect cup is spicy enough that your throat tingles for a few seconds afterward, but still calm enough that you want to drink a second. Jives Coffee Lounge is my favorite spot to grab a tea and cozy up for a few hours.

I gave Mission Coffee Roasters baristas a mission…

October 17, 2014

I stopped by Mission Coffee Roasters after leaving the studio and wanted to grab a quick lo-cal drink to sip on my way to work. As soon as I walked in, I gave the baristas a mission – to make me something sugar-free. They gladly accepted and the result was delicious.
